Game: Midnight Grimoire

Description: Play as a young witch hell-bent on revenge for the death of her teacher. Storm the headquarters of the holy knights and seek the head of the high paladin. Wield the forbidden Midnight Grimoire to lay waste to enemies with a myriad of powerful spells.

The response from players:

  1. Do you feel the animations switch between walking and jumping naturally when you control the character?

Answer: It’s not a big problem. There is no obvious pause or stiffness in the movement switch. The only problem mentioned is that the character stays in a walking position instead of a falling position while falling off the platform.

2. Does the character blend in too much with the background?

Answer: Players say they don’t feel that way. They thought the witch and the castle made perfect sense. On the other hand, the texture of the castle background is too much.

Plan:

I’ll find a way to deal with the fact that the character is walking while falling. In addition, I will implement the system that the main character can attack in a short time. Finally, I will discuss with my partner about art.
